Our firm
Forty-four years in Sandton.
Van Wyk Dlamini was founded in 1981 on a simple belief: clients deserved direct answers and senior attention, not a rotating cast of juniors. Our current directors were shaped by that same standard and have carried it forward for close to two decades.

What guides the practice
Direct counsel
We tell clients what we think, not what is easiest to hear. A clear answer today is worth more than a comfortable one that costs you later.
Senior attention
A director reviews every matter that carries the firm's name, regardless of its size.
Local grounding
Forty-four years in Sandton means we know the Deeds Registry clerks, the Gauteng Division's roll, and the businesses that make up this city.
A brief history
Two attorneys establish the firm in a single office on Rivonia Road, Sandton.
The firm opens its commercial law practice as Sandton's business district begins its rapid expansion.
Elmarie van Wyk joins as a candidate attorney, later leading the litigation practice as a director from 2007.
Sipho Dlamini joins the corporate team, becoming a director in 2009.
Naledi Mokoena joins as a candidate attorney, later leading the property and conveyancing practice as a director from 2016.
The firm registers with the newly established Legal Practice Council following the Legal Practice Act.
Now led by three directors and 19 attorneys and candidate attorneys, still headquartered in Sandton.
